Choosing the right wedding songs to celebrate your big day is essential. Well duh, tell me something I don't know, you're probably thinking. But what I actually mean is that you must pick the songs that really speak to you, and not try to please everyone. A fruitless endevour if there ever was one.

The big one is, of course, the song the couple has their first dance to. That is very personal and should be decided on by the bride and groom solely, without any outside input. You can go to the Internet and listen to wedding songs free as a sample. I know Amazon and Itunes allow you to listen to wedding songs online. Even if they are only 30 second samples.

Try to remember that this is your wedding day, and that no matter what mom says, or how many tears she sheds, you should be able to choose your own wedding songs to listen too. If you don’t, you are going to look back with disappointment. Take control.

You can go with the traditional wedding songs if you want, but this may not be what feels right for you. If you are a Christian then Christian wedding songs are a perfect fit. Almost any song can be played on a piano, and all you need is a good pianist and the sheet music.

They can learn the song rather easily, and they can also learn to play the song at a slower tempo if that is what you want for your day. You can also find almost any song arranged for stringed instruments like violin or cello if that is what you want.

Some people choose to have wedding songs sung during their ceremony, and this can be quite moving. Don’t hire just anyone, and don’t pick a friend to sing just because they want to do it. It just takes a few flat notes to ruin the beauty of a song, especially on a wedding day, and you don’t want that to be your memory.

Instead, hire a professional singer to take care of your wedding songs, and ask to hear them sing before you choose. Ask him to belt out some Christian wedding songs to really here if he has any talent. It is important they can sing, but it is more important that they can sing the wedding songs you have chosen.

You can go simple if you wish, and purchase a CD of wedding songs for your special day. Some people want a simple and small wedding, and they don’t want to go to the trouble of hiring musicians for a short and sweet occasion.

These CDs are often full of traditional wedding songs, and they are often of high quality, and will deliver just what you are looking for in music. If you can’t find what you need, you can purchase the songs individually and burn them on your on CD.
